Here we are going to tell you how to re-use your tea bags to formulate an at-home do-it-yourself beauty product.

After using your black tea bag to make tea, press your lips against it. With a puckering motion press your lips around the tea bag for about five seconds and release. Black tea has a tannic acid in it that has been proven to increase moisture levels in your lips. This will serve as a chapstick plus lip gloss!

After using your tea bags for tea place them in the refrigerator. After several hours or days take them out and place them over your eyes while lying down. The tea bags will reduce puffiness and decrease dark circles under your eyes!

Place several used black tea bags in a large Tupperware container and fill with water to your liking can be cool or hot. Soak your feet in the water for several minutes. Black tea bags have been known to take away odor from feet.

Some people put several used tea bags on their head and cover with a shower cap. Tea bags have been known to change dirty blond hair to a pretty caramel color or add auburn or caramel shades to darker hair.

Another kind of tea called Rooibos tea which is more commonly found as loose leaf, has beauty benefits as well.

Rooibos tea can be used to slow the aging process when placed directly on the skin. Rooibos tea can also be used to treat eczema which is a skin irritation.

It can make you look healthier and more beautiful because it has many minerals and nutritional value as it contains iron, calcium, fluoride, copper, potassium and alpha-hydroxy acid which is great for your skin.

We love to exfoliate. However, every time we go to a specialty store or even a pharmacy to purchase fun and new facial exfoliating cream or body exfoliating cream they seem to get more expensive. [facial exfoliants]

I think it’s something to do with feeling the grinds on the skin feels like you’re really getting rid of the dirt, germs and bacteria that is why we like to exfoliate so much.

Here we are going to show you how to make your own skin exfoliating cream at home with a few things from your kitchen.

We call this exfoliating cream Pineapple Mask. You need pineapple, papaya and honey.

If you can get fresh pineapple chunks that is best however if you have canned pineapple at home you can use that as well. Mash equal amounts of pineapple and papaya together.

We won’t tell you how much to use because you will use equal amounts of however much you want to make.

You may be making pineapple mask for you only or you may be making it for a girls’ night in! After you mash this together, add about a ½ to full teaspoon of honey.

Mash everything together. I like to put this mixture in the fridge for awhile because I like the way cool creams feel on my face however once the pineapple exfoliate mask is mashed you are ready to apply if you wish.

Apply evenly and generously to your face and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. You feel clean, smooth and exfoliated when you wash the mask off.

The benefits to our pineapple mask are the pineapple and papaya are exfoliants and the honey is soothing to the skin.

Rosacea is a skin disorder that is actually more common than most people think.

Rosacea gives the appearance of red and pink patches on the skin. While there are technically no cures for Rosacea there are many different treatments out there.

There are prescription medications you can take for your Rosacea symptoms and there are prescription topical ointments you can use. However we are going to tell you how to treat your Rosacea symptoms naturally.

The following guide to treating Rosacea symptoms is not to be used if you are pregnant.

Basically you are going to be incorporating green tea, apple cider vinegar; health supplements iBifidus and Acidophilus, Zinc and Vitamin A to your diet.

We encourage you to start drinking green tea due to its many benefits not just its ability to clear up Rosacea outbreaks. Have a cup of hot green tea before bed or treat yourself to an ice cold green tea latter in the morning.

Begin taking health supplements daily. Take them as instructed on the bottle as per your weight. Start taking Zinc, Acidophilus and Bifidus. Also take Vitamin A supplements however only take this during a Rosacea outbreak and take the maximum dosage allowable as per the instructions.

After eating your meals and snacks, add one teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to a glass of water. There is a chance that something in your diet is causing your Rosacea outbreaks. Therefore the point of taking Apple Cider Vinegar is to prevent reactions to the food if that is indeed what is causing your outbreaks.

Other remedies to consider while naturally treating your Rosacea outbreaks are to alter your diet and eat no more processed foods. Also avoid chocolate and spicy foods. Notice if your Rosacea outbreaks are decreasing once you start eliminating these things from your diet.

I always thought age spots wouldn’t start showing until my 40s or 50s however at the ripe age 30-something I am experiencing age spots quite consistently rearing their ugly ‘spottage’.

I have done quite a bit of research on how to decrease the appearance of my age spots and come up with several different remedies.

Of course the best way to avoid age spots is to avoid over exposure to the sun.

In many cases (mine included) the damage is done so we do not have the luxury of being proactive instead we have to be reactive.

Start out by going to the pharmacy or whole foods store and purchase the following items:

Benzoin Oil

Almond oil

Gotu Kola

Licorice extract

Glycolic acid

Mix a few drops of the almond oil with the benzoin oil and apply to your age spots twice a day with a Q-tip. You will gradually notice a difference in the discoloration of your age spots.

As far as the Gotu Kola goes, you will be taking these health supplements daily as instructed on the bottle you get from the health foods store. The reason you are going to use Gotu Kola is because this herb has been known to stimulate the growth of healthy new skin cells.

If you take it regularly there is a chance your skin will reproduce healthy skin cells around your age spots and decrease the appearance.

If you can find licorice extract and glycolic acid supplements take those directed as well. Although they aren’t specifically marketed to decrease the appearance of age spots they have been known to drastically improve the harsh contrast of age spots on your skin.

Usually if you have dry skin it is because the environment around you is dry.

Dry skin can cause itchiness, rash, redness and a lot of irritability.

Here we have compiled some ideas and ways to keep your home and skin hydrated year round.

Use a humidifier. Use a humidifier whenever your home feels dry or your skin feels dry. A good indication of if your home is hydrated is your sinuses. If your throat and nose (sinus cavity) feel dry and coarse chances are you need to humidify your home. Don’t think just because there is more humidity in the summer months that there are periods of time you will not need to use your humidifier.

This may sound obvious to many of you but drink plenty of water. Coffee and tea, although they are made with water do not count because they have so many dehydrating properties. Just drink six to eight glasses of water a day!

Moisturize. Moisturize. Moisturize. Use lotions all over your body and face every time you get out of the shower or bath, or whenever you have washed your face. Moisturize before you go to bed and moisturize when you wake up.

Speaking of showers and baths, keep yours to a minimum as water dehydrates the skin (ironic, isn’t it??) also, hot water dries out your skin even more so watch your hot water usage.

The average person cannot afford to get pedicures every week or even once a month like celebrities can.

It would be a nice luxury if we could afford this and our feet would be smooth and pretty as well as free of calluses all the time.

However since this just isn’t reality, we can show you how to take care of your feet yourself at home in just ten minutes a week or day depending on your time availability and your desire for soft callous-free feet.

You will only need a few items and you are on your way to feeling better about your heels and toes.

Items you will need:

Buffer, or durable emery board and in some cases a very worn-out piece of sandpaper

Vaseline, Petroleum Jelly or generic version thereof

Soft, oversized cotton socks

I have been using this trick at home during the winter for years and I can tell you with complete certainty it works and it works much better than a salon-purchased pedicure.

The first step of your at-home do-it-yourself pedicure is to buffer your feet completely. This means to buffer your heels, your bunions, the pads of your feet, and any other area that is rough, callused or has tough skin on it.

Depending on how long it has been since you have taken care of your feet or how tough your calluses are you may even opt to use a very worn-down piece of sandpaper or even turn your feet on the concrete outside.

It is essential to get rid of any tough and dead skin so that you may begin pampering the fresh, new skin just waiting to get out underneath the calluses.

Depending on your feet the buffering step could take anywhere from ten to thirty minutes. After you have buffered your feet the next step is to slather them in Vaseline Petroleum jelly.

Massage the Vaseline all over the feet and apply abundant amounts. Then, put on your oversized cotton socks and leave them on overnight. Your feet will be soft, smooth and pretty in the morning.

Repeat this process as often as you like. For a shortened version of the process you can just apply the Vaseline Petroleum Jelly before bed at night which will still help give you softer soles and prettier feet the next day.

If you are one of the 85 million men and women that face hair loss every year you are most likely looking for a hair loss product that is effective, affordable and will give you the results you desire.

Before choosing a hair loss product the first step is to understand how your hair loss is happening and how hair loss products remedy this situation.

The most common form of hair loss is due to a hereditary condition called Androgenetic Alopecia. How does this result in hair loss?

Well the condition is basically an overabundance of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone or DHT for short. This hormone is in the hair follicles and causes thinning of the hair and ultimately hair loss.

So how do the hair loss products work? Well, depending on the hair loss product you select, most of them contain an ingredient called Ketoconazole which is an inhibitor of DHT.

The reason people experiencing hair loss do not just take Ketoconazole orally because in tests it has been proven to damage the liver so the resulting way to administer the chemical is topically, through shampoo.

Now that you know what causes hair loss and how hair loss products work, it is time to find a hair loss product that is best for you. There are hair loss shampoo customer ranking and review sites which would be a really great resource for anyone in need of research for these products

There are some very expensive products on the market which can cost you nearly $100 a month as they should be used daily and there are hair loss shampoos that will cost around $25.00 a month.

There are hair loss products designed specifically for men and there are hair loss products designed specifically for women.

In our research with the help of customer rankings and reviews, we came up with ten hair loss products which are effective and somewhat affordable.

These are not in a top ten ranking we are just providing you with a how-to find effective and affordable hair loss products. Some of these products are more expensive than others.

Procerin

Advecia

Profollica

Nisim

Provillus

Hair Genesis

Viviscal

Revita

Nioxin

Phytocyane

There are numerous websites that can assist you in finding the hair loss products which best fit your needs.

1. First of all you need to keep your entire body exfoliated. Many people do not understand the importance of exfoliating so allow us to explain it to you. Your body sheds dead skin cells constantly and until you scrub, wash or exfoliate those dead skin cells from your skin you will look just that – dead, flaky and dry. [body scrub]

By exfoliating your skin you are already one step closer to always looking fresh, alive and having a healthy glow because the skin that is on your surface is the newest and freshest skin.

2. Use a shaving cream. I used to shave with soap and water. And I always had razor burn. It never occurred to me why I always had razor burn until I learned that while I was shaving my legs I was actually drying out my skin at the same time. Play around with different types of shaving lotions and find one that suits you best.

Shaving lotions have hydrating qualities in them and you are far less likely to get nicks and cuts as well as razor burn. It is also important that you are using a good razor. I have been using my Venus for years but I have heard rave reviews about Gilette’s Mach 3 as well. Remember you get what you pay for. You don’t have to walk around with painful razor burn all the time.

3. Always moisturize your skin after a shower, bath or swim. I have been using Vaseline Intensive Care line of lotions for years as well as Lubriderm and Eucerin.

I also really like the moisturizers that Avon makes. In addition to moisturizing you should apply self-tanning lotion as well. This really does work and will give you even more of a healthy glow.

Do you feel inundated with skin care product commercials and overwhelmed by all of the choices on the market?

Are you unsure as to which skin care products you should be using and are best for your skin?

Here we have put together a little guide for you to determine which skin care products are best for you and your skin types.

If you have normal skin one of the best facial cleansers on the market is Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. Cetaphil is reasonably priced and is the best facial cleanser for normal skin because it is simple and gentle.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is best for those who do not wear much make-up.

If you do wear quite a bit of make-up opt for the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. This product is also reasonably priced and is more effective at taking off make-up at the end of the day.

Overall both Cetaphil cleansers are good for normal skin and leave your skin feeling clean and smooth.

If you can afford a department store cleanser you may think about Clinique Liquid Facial Soap. This Clinique product is best for normal skin but can also be used on oily and dry skin as there are variations to the product.

If you are looking for a cleanser that also exfoliates your skin Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub is one of the best options on the market. With this product you will get the benefits of an exfoliation and your skin will not be irritated afterward.

Another cleanser that also exfoliates and maintains a top spot on reviews by consumers is Aveeno Positively Ageless Daily Exfoliating Cleanser.

The product contains natural shiitake mushroom extract as well as polyethylene beads for exfoliating benefits. This product is gentle enough for daily use and can be used by oily skin, normal skin and dry skin.

If you have dry, sensitive skin one of the best facial cleansers on the market for you is Aveeno Ultra-Calming Facial Cleaner. The product lathers which users always like and contains a botanical ingredient that reduces any inflammation.

Clean & Clear also makes a facial cleanser for sensitive skin called Foaming Facial Cleaner for Sensitive Skin.

Hopefully this clears up the air a little bit in regards to all the products on the market today. Remember you do not have to pay a lot for good skin care; products at the pharmacy and grocery stores can be just as good as the pricey ones at department stores.

If you have stopped to read this, then congratulations, you have already made a step toward improving your skin by avoiding the tanning beds and considering sunless tanning products instead.

I have been using sunless tanning products for years and while I have a favorite there are many on the market that are effective and affordable.

Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel while quite a bit more expensive than some of the other sunless tanning products is very effective.

Depending on if you have a preference to lotions [Tanning lotion] or gels may help you decide.

Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel is a gel, and while it goes on smoothly and does not streak if you are used to lotions this will take some getting used to.

Neutrogena makes a very good product; Neutrogena MicroMist Tanning Sunless Spray. Once again, very different if you are used to lotions because this is a spray but if you can get past that it is extremely effective.

One feature of the Neutrogena MicroMist Tanning Sunless Spray is that the spray itself is not colored so you don’t have to worry about staining objects around you while you are putting it on. But don’t worry even though the product is colorless itself, it definitely produces a tan on your skin!

Mystic Tan makes a sunless tanning product called Mystic Tan UV-Free Spray-On Tanning. This product is quite pricey however it will definitely deliver the results you want and expect in a sunless tanning product.

However my most favorite sunless tanning product and one that I have been using for years is Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer. This sunless tanner is completely affordable at right around $7.00 for 7.5 ounces.

The features I enjoy with Jergens Sunless Tanning lotion is that it goes on like a regular lotion so it hydrates my skin. The color appears after one to two applications and the color doesn’t turn orange like some products tend to do.
