Skin rashes are a common problem and are associated with redness and itchiness. They are very discomforting and can also be painful, depending on the cause. A rash can be defined as a skin inflammation that can cause skin discoloration. A number of factors can be responsible for skin rashes and some of them include chemicals, allergenic reactions to some food or anything else, diseases and even reaction to certain skin products. Here are some natural remedies to get rid of skin rashes.

Aloe Vera is used in many skin products as it is really good for the skin. It is anti inflammatory and antiseptic and can work effectively against any kinds of skin rashes. It is loaded with vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and folic acid and also helps to control skin rashes. Take an aloe vera leaf and slice it to scoop out the gel. Apply the gel on the affected area.


Oatmeal oil offers immediate relief to skin rashes. You apply the oil directly on the affected areas. You can also take put uncooked oatmeal in a bucket full of water and use that water for bathing.

Olive oil

Olive oil is another natural product that is very effective against skin rashes. Apply extra virgin olive oil directly on your skin for best results.

Chamomile Essential Oil

This oil would soothe your skin and treat skin rashes as well. Some people are allergic to chamomile oil and hence, make sure you not before applying it.

Calendula Essential Oil

Calendula is yet another product that is used in various beauty products. It is an antiseptic and can help; if the rashes have come out due to some infection by getting rid of the microbes and stimulating the production of more white blood cells. You can add few drops of calendula herbal oil in hot water and simmer for few minutes and apply it on the affected areas. Another method involves boiling the herb in water and applying that on the rashes.

Basil Leaves

This is a very simple remedy. Use a blender to blend 15-20 basil leaves, 1 tbsp of olive oil, salt, pepper and 2-4 garlic clove. Make a smooth paste and apply this paste on the rashes using a clean cloth. Let it stay for few minutes before washing is away.

Ice Cubes

Ice cubes can also be applied directly on the rashes to get relief.
