A trendy manicure seems to equal the accessories and the shoes rage for it is creating quite a ripple in the fashion industry.

At the New York Fashion Week’s hottest Spring/Summer 2011 Runway Nail Color Trends, nail trends were brought out showing some of the boldest and daring nail colors.

Catherine Malandrino, Thakoon and Marc by Marc captivated by their nude shades but the talk of the event were the five great nail trends.

Moon manicure made a different style statement with its retro looks. For this special style look, Ruffian models had rounded nails adorned with black French tip and monogram. It went well with the French Foreign Legion themes of 1940s. To get the moon shapes more even, make use of the nail art pens instead of a brush.

Metallic and gold colors made a great impact too. Cushnie et Ochs’ gold nails brought in the practical and heavenly look. Sliver chrome, ice blue shimmer and putty are attractive and beautiful, and create the perfect look.

You can just apply a basecoat on the nail, and then add gold foil on the nail tips. After it dries out, remove the gold foil and apply a top coating. Your nails will look dashingly beautiful and trendy.
