Doesn’t it seem that the longer we spend staring at ourselves in the mirror the more imperfections we see?
Trust me; you aren’t the only one who has skin blemishes, scars and redness that you want to cover up and hide from the rest of the world—we’ve all been there at one time or another!
Getting the flawless look you crave is easier than you think and, believe it or not, it can be done on a budget too! Read on my friend…
Tip #1: Always start off with a clean face. You’ll be amazed at how much better your make up will work when you’re using it on clean skin.
Tip #2: Apply a light moisturizer before your make up so that you have an even smoother surface to work with. Use one with an SPF if possible so you can protect your skin from the sun.
Tip #3: Choose a concealer with a yellow base to help tone down and hide redness broken capillaries or even sunburn.
Tip #4: Always apply your concealer before foundation or powder.
Tip #5: Avoid using powder if it’s wrinkles that you’re trying to cover. Powder rests in the creases and wrinkles of your skin and can make them more pronounced. [Wrinkle Treatment]
Tip #6: Add a tiny touch of shimmer cream, lotion or powder to your foundation to help brighten your face and give you a youthful looking glow.
Tip #7: Apply foundation with a dampened make up sponge to help it glide onto your skin and provide smooth coverage without looking cakey.
Tip #8: Always smooth your foundation downwards for the best coverage as opposed to rubbing into the skin upwards or in a circular motion as you would a moisturizer. You want coverage—not penetration of the pores.
Tip #9: On good skin days or when you’re tanned; skip foundation and instead use a tinted moisturizer or even add a drop of foundation into your usual moisturizer. This will help cover what your tan doesn’t or enhance the good skin day you’re having!
Tip #10: Shop around for your concealer, foundation and powder. Try on as many shades and brands that you can to help you find your perfect match. More expensive may not always be what looks best on your skin.
Use these ten tips to help you cover your imperfections and to get you the flawless and beautiful look that will knock years off your face and make you look like a million bucks!
