OK on the face of it, the very concept sounds reasonably uncomfortable making to some of us, and yet it would seem that one ingredient of breast milk could well be the antidote to acne.
Bioengineers have recently formulated a face cream that incorporates ingredients like human breast milk and coconut oil, because of the ingredient found in them; that of lauric acid, which could help to treat acne.
A ‘smart delivery system’ is being developed that will help to deposit “lauric-acid-filled nano-scale bombs“on to the acne on the skin directly. This will target skin dwelling bacteria responsible for common varieties of acne.
This method of treating acne also uses another unique ingredient: gold nano particles. These gold nano particles will be attached to the surface of the nano bombs, which help the lauric acid to kill the bacteria.
Nano technology is creating a stir in several different fields and skin care is no different it would appear. The application of nano technology here is seen to greatly improve skin bacterial infections.
Not only is it seen to be very effective when used topically, it is also seen to cause fewer side effects since natural products are used.
