It is said that wrinkles signify wisdom but how many of us really want them, I say none of us. Now a day’s everyone is in a trend to reduce their age lines or get rid of those wrinkles either in a small way or in a big way [Wrinkle free skin].

They are on a search as to how best they can control these wrinkles. Many products and procedures promise to reduce wrinkles. But the facts reveal that some work well and don’t work at all and more over their effect of mechanism depends on person to person.

The aging of skin is directly proportional to the sun exposure. It is well understood that changes brought on by sun damage (photoaging) include “dryness” (really roughness), sagginess, skin growths like keratoses (“liver spots”), and wrinkles. Skin care is must to control from all these damages.

Sun exposed regions include the face, neck, the backs of the hands, and the tops of the forearms and so these areas are prone to wrinkles.

It is proved that some factors help in promoting wrinkles. Some of them include:

  • Smoking is a well known reason for aging soon, so stop smoking
  • Light skin type or fair people are easily prone to sun damage
  • Heredity! Yes, you will be surprised to know this that some families wrinkle more, now you recollect some family’s right!
  • Occupational and recreational habits are definitely responsible for aging and wrinkles for example farming, sailing, golfing, using tanning booths, and so forth
  • Some hairstyles are helpful to tackle wrinkles, as they provide a cover and protection against sun damage, avoiding direct exposure to sun
  • Your dress with hats, long sleeves, etc. may also help from direct sun exposure.

The scientific mechanism behind the aging process can be described easily. It can be categorized into different stages as follows:

The dermal layer is significantly affected by aging. Not only does the dermal layer thin, but also less collagen is produced, and the elastin fibers that provide elasticity wear out. The cause for the skin to wrinkle and sag is due to these changes in the scaffolding of the skin. Also, sebaceous glands get bigger but produce less sebum, and the number of sweat glands decreases. Both of these changes lead to skin dryness.

The rete-ridges of the dermal-epidermal junction flatten out, making the skin more fragile and making it easier for the skin to shear. By decreasing the surface area in contact with the dermis, also interfering with the skin’s normal repair process this process also decreases the amount of nutrients available to the epidermis.

In the subcutaneous layer the fat cells get smaller with age. This leads to more noticeable wrinkles and sagging, as the fat cells cannot “fill in” the damage from the other layers.

So as now you know the process of wrinkle formation and the exact reasons behind these wrinkles you must be very careful. Although some of these factors are beyond our control. The main preventive measures we can take are to minimize sun exposure and not smoke.

Another way to help reduce or eliminate wrinkles is by using copper peptides. Copper peptides are a combination of a copper ion and a peptide. Studies show they have anti-inflammatory capabilities, enhance wound healing and best of all help to stimulate collagen production.

I don’t understand wny more people don’t know about the properties of copper peptides and why more anti aging creams don’t contain them. I have had incredible results after using them, but it takes time….It took about 9-12 months before I started to see more tighter firmer skin. That’s all I use now…no more expensive wrinkle creams for me.
